Fender® Basses changed music forever with the introduction of electric basses, first with the revolutionary Precision Bass® and then in 1960 with the Jazz Bass®.

Following the P Bass® was no easy task. With its new offset body, dual-pickup layout, and slim neck profile, the Jazz Bass brought Fender into the 1960s. It grew to become one of the most popular basses of all time—appearing on classic recordings from jazz, funk, soul, and blues to classic rock and heavy metal.

60 years later, we're proud to celebrate the timeless design with a limited edition Jazz Bass that captures the detail, sound and magic of the original.

The 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass boasts and elevates the original design. Two ’62 Pure Vintage pickups produce bright treble and smooth, mellow bass, making the J-Bass® a staple in any genre. A pair of concentric volume and tone controls give mastery over the individual pickup combinations and characteristics—a feature first seen on the original J-Bass models from 1960 to 1962. Other features include an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with binding, ivory nut, authentic 7.25" neck arch, vintage long frets, and a ’60s U-shaped neck. Arctic Pearl finish and matching tortoiseshell pickguard, neck binding, and headcap make the 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass a timeless modern classic. Also included is a vintage-style deluxe case, embossed 60th anniversary, and certificate of authenticity.
