Introduced by Ibanez in 2014, the M80M is an 8-string solid-body electric guitar. It holds a significant place as the signature model of Fredrik Thordendal and Mårten Hagström, distinguished Swedish guitarists renowned for their contributions to the progressive metal/djent band Meshuggah. Serving as an affordable alternative to the M8M, the M80M is manufactured in Indonesia and draws its inspiration from the esteemed RG series.

Featuring a sturdy ash body, the M80M showcases a bolt-on titanium reinforced neck crafted from a combination of maple and walnut. Its 24-fret rosewood fingerboard boasts a scale length of 29.4" and is devoid of any inlays, offering a sleek and minimalist aesthetic. The guitar is equipped with an FX Edge III-8 fixed bridge, providing stability and precise intonation. As for its sonic capabilities, the M80M relies on a single Lundgren M8P humbucking pickup, delivering powerful and articulate tones tailored to the demands of progressive metal and djent genres.
