Ibanez SDGB1-DMT 5-String Electric Bass Guitar, Dark Moss Burst

The Ibanez SDGB1, launched in 2023, stands out as a five-string fretless electric bass model within the BTB series. Crafted in Indonesia, this bass guitar is a signature model designed for renowned bassist Steve Di Giorgio, celebrated for his contributions to the American death-thrash metal band Sadus.

The SDGB1 boasts neck-through-body construction, featuring ash and okume wings with a flamed maple top, connected to a maple, bubinga, and panga panga neck equipped with graphite reinforcement rods. Its fret-less ebonol fingerboard adds to the distinctive design. The double cutaway body exhibits unique, narrow, and curving horns. Noteworthy components include a pair of Nordstrand™ Big Single passive pickups paired with a Vari-mid III 3-band EQ preamp featuring an EQ bypass switch (with passive tone control on the treble pot). Additional features include Mono-rail bridges with 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut, and reliable Gotoh tuning machines.
