In 1974, George Lowden began designing and building his first guitars in Country Down, where the company’s workshop is located today. To celebrate 50 years of Lowden guitars, the company has released a very special collection of limited edition models.

The 50th Anniversary Collection features a variety of models crafted from different woods, most notably the extremely rare Bois De Rose wood, found only in the 50 Series guitars. Each guitar is a work of art, produced in very small quantities, and crafted to perfection. Special details include the Lowden logo inlaid with mother-of-pearl on the headstock, the 50th Anniversary inlay on the fretboard, and the unique 1974 inlay at the base of the neck. To celebrate this milestone, Lowden has collaborated with many of the world's most skilled luthiers to create a small collection of limited edition guitars that showcase the brand's heritage and craftsmanship.
