Founded by Roland Meinl in 1951 and originally producing wind instruments, the first Meinl cymbal was introduced in 1952 and was cut from a large piece of metal, forged, turned and drilled by hand by Roland Meinl himself, who transported his creation on his luggage bicycle to the train station for shipment. Meinl has gone from such humble origins to become a world leader in percussion instruments. Available in five sizes, the Meinl Symphonic Suspended Cymbals are entirely handcrafted from premium B20 bronze by artisans at the Meinl Cymbal Factory in Türkiye. The cymbals are medium-weight, flat-faced for a responsive and fast response with long sustain, creating musical projection and warmth.
