In 1958, renowned British percussionist Alan Sharp couldn’t find the instruments he needed, so he started building them himself. The quality of his creations brought him many orders and eventually led to the founding of the Natal Percussion Company in 1965. Today Alan’s legacy continues in a range of beautifully designed British drums and hardware. The bongos and congas from the Natal Classic Series follow the old-fashioned percussion instrument making process using original shell moulds from the 60s and 70s, even the badges are an homage to the originals. Each instrument is finished with a luxurious steel 'comfort hoop', durable bolts and an Aquarian head for hand-clapping.
