Tama began manufacturing drums in 1965 under the name "Star Drums", and the Star name is still used for Tama drum models today. Tama was one of the first manufacturers to offer super-strong hardware, and drum mounting systems that do not intrude on the drum shell. Tama drums and hardware are renowned around the world. Part of Tama's original Chair series, the Wide Rider drum chair offers solid support, comfortable padding, and exceptional stability. The Wide Rider uses a saddle-style seat with front cutouts that allow for unencumbered leg movement. The Wide Rider is available with a durable PVC seat, or a newly designed fabric seat surface. It also features Rocklok nylon bushings to prevent wobble and a smooth T-bolt height adjustment system. The double-leg base provides extra strength and stability, and the Wide Rider can be adjusted from 48cm to 65cm.
