The Fender Custom Shop introduces the Limited Roasted Pine Stratocaster Deluxe Closet Classic for 2023, featuring a 2-piece roasted pine body for outstanding tone and resonance, custom-wound pickups for a wide range of tonal colors, and a premium Deluxe Closet Classic finish available in Honey Blonde, White Blonde, and Chocolate Three-Color Sunburst. This delicately treated finish gives the appearance of a proud, well-maintained guitar that has been carefully polished over many years of use. The medium-grain finish, oxidized hardware, and light discoloration combine to create the look and feel of an aged instrument, something complex and refined, like a fine bottle of wine.

Tone versatility is also incredible, with three hand-wound Dual Mag II pickups for more power and coverage (reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickups for reduced hum in the 2 and 4 switch positions), alnico 5 magnets for more punch, and alnico 2 magnets for smoother highs—a combination that also produces excellent string-to-string output. Vintage Modified #2 wiring includes a five-way pickup switch, Tone-Saver escapement circuit (eliminates tone dropout when volume is turned down), and Greasebucket™ II bridge pickup tone control (avoids gain/mid dropout when volume is turned down).

Other premium details include a quarter-sawn roasted maple neck in '59-style "D" shape, a 9.5" curved flat-lam rosewood fingerboard with 21 jumbo frets (6100) and bone nut, 4-ply brown pickguard, Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage tuner, wing string tree, deluxe case, strap, and COA.
