Fender Custom Shop Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Stratocaster Relic Guitar, 3-Tone Sunburst

If there were a Mount Rushmore of Stratocaster Masters, Stevie Ray Vaughan would be one of the most revered artists ever. Almost single-handedly responsible for the electric blues resurgence of the 80s and 90s, Stevie Ray Vaughan used his beloved Strat® to top the charts. Only the artisans at the Custom Shop could have crafted the instrument that Vaughan co-designed before his death. It’s one of the most revered guitars in the world, and Fender is proud to make it a permanent member of the Custom Artist collection.

SRV made many modifications to his Strat to suit his dynamic yet controlled playing style. The guitar features a trio of hot, high-output Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special pickups for fiery, authentic Fender tone that’s as big as the Lone Star State. In homage to his idol, Jimi Hendix, SRV used a vintage-style synchronized tremolo for his left hand, allowing him to control the tremolo arm with his elbow—a modification that Fender also replicated. The two-piece body is handcrafted from weighty, beautifully grained alder, with a Relic lacquer finish that will age and wear as its distinctive character, just like the original. The “Oval C” stained riftsawn-style neck is slightly thinner toward the treble, allowing for easy string bends toward the stratosphere—an exact recreation of Jimi Hendrix’s favorite guitar neck shape.

Other features include 5-way control knobs, vintage-style wiring, 3-ply Black “SRV” pickguard, vintage-style tuners, rosewood fingerboard, ivory nut and wing string tree. Includes premium hardcase, strap and COA.
