Brooklyn, New York and Gretsch Drums share an inseparable heritage, which is evident in the Gretsch Brooklyn Series. Proudly handcrafted in Ridgeland, SC, USA, the Gretsch Brooklyn has an unmistakable, distinctive voice that is uniquely reproduced. The Brooklyn shell is constructed from 6 plies of American maple/poplar, slightly thicker than Gretsch USA Custom Drums, and features a 30-degree body-to-head flange. The inner shell is finished in the classic Gretsch Silver Sealer color. The inner shell also features a special Brooklyn sticker to identify the drum's model and series number.

The Brooklyn toms and snares feature the signature Gretsch 302 rims. These are 3mm thick and feature double flanges, the same rims that Gretsch used until the mid-1950s. The Brooklyn has a classic Gretsch tone, warm, full and powerful. The improved parameters on the Brooklyn have created a new Gretsch timbre, both open and pleasantly ambient. There is no denying that the Brooklyn drums have both the classic Gretsch voice and a very unique timbre.
