The combination of the open sound and resonance of maple with the ultra-responsive Grooved Hoop and Hi-Carbon Snappy gives this drum a rich, open, crisp sound reminiscent of highly regarded classic snare drums.

• By loosening the tension rods, you can bend the claw back and away from the Grooved Hoop. This quick release system provides a simple, quick drum head replacement without having to remove all the tension rods from the lugs.
• STARPHONIC claw hooks have an internal rubber block to protect the tension bolts from loosening during play.
• The new “Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snappy Snare” fits more snugly on the snare drum side head, demonstrating greater sensitivity and delivering a brighter, crisper sound.
• To prevent the snappy snare from loosening, TAMA has incorporated a ratchet system into the strainer's tension adjustment mechanism. Like a fine-actuated adjustment tool, it achieves re-tension at high pressures, even at extreme settings.
• Detachable Strainer Butt allows you to change the side head of the snare drum, but keep the snare string tension in its original state.
• STARPHONIC's strainer uses a "Linear-Drive" system designed by us to enhance the control of the arm adjustment level and give more precise control of strainer movement.
